PhD Project- Developing and evaluating a new pathway to smoking cessation: preventing early lapse using cognitive-behavioural techniques to promote long term abstinence

SSDP is seeking a Global Program Coordinator to join our team in a part-time role supporting our global network through a two-year fellowship.

The successful candidate will coordinate SSDP’s global chapter network and provide coaching, connection, and education to the newest generation of drug policy activists around the world.

They will manage SSDP’s advocacy work at the United Nations, represent SSDP to global allies, and report to SSDP’s staff on the need and activities of our global network.

Ideal candidates will be familiar with SSDP and the drug policy reform movement, but that is not required for a candidate who understands the War on Drugs is a destructive set of policies which must be reformed.

Location:  Washington, DC preferred

The consultant psychiatrist will contribute to the service to ensure that service users consistently receive high-quality services that adhere to the best practice guidelines and achieve high professional standards.

They will be responsible for contributing to the overall performance of the service to ensure that contractual output targets are achieved. They will be required to record and input client data and information in order that the service operates within contractual, administrative and financial requirements.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a constant stimulus for improving clinical services and be a role model. They will have a recovery-focused approach to treatment.

A very unique opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 5 Higher Research Assistant to work into NTW Trustwide Addiction Services. The successful candidate will help to support the EXPO trial, which will include the recruitment, assessment and follow-up of study participants as well as the collection of data using identified research methodologies.

The EXPO randomised controlled trial will examine the clinical and cost-effectiveness of the use of depot buprenorphine in those with opioid drug dependence. 

The Department of Psychology, Health and Professional Development at Oxford Brookes University collaborate across disciplines and work with health and education professionals as well as partners in the industry to develop knowledge and understanding that informs policy and improves people's lives.

They are looking to employ an Early Career Research Fellow for 24 months to be involved in the different science groups, beginning 1st July 2019.

Release is looking for a creative and resourceful individual to join our organisation in this varied and highly rewarding role. 

As the TalkingDrugs and Social Media Co-ordinator, you will work closely with the Executive Director in sourcing and developing content for Release’s online platform, TalkingDrugs.

This will involve putting together original articles for the website on topics related to drug policy and harm reduction, as well as editing and providing feedback on the work of volunteers.

The Project Support Coordinator is responsible for supporting the development, administration and monitoring of new projects that support communities working to prevent and reduce alcohol and other drug-related harm in Australia.
