In Addiction Recovery process ,no one can deny the importance of Family Role.
Family role has vital importance because Recovery and Relapse both can occur due to positive and negative role respectively .
These 12 steps have very special name for Addict which can eliminate stigma and give proper attention to the problem .Victim of Craving( VC) is a new term for Addict.
These steps provide positive directions to family to play its role in supporting VC.
Here are Strength Based 12 Steps .
*Step 1* .
We believe that we have enough strength in ourselves to support our loved one( VC) to overcome his/her unmanageable life .
*Step 2* .
We as family have faith on our God that He is providing us right Directions to make good decisions to support our loved one( VC).
*Step 3* .
we know our wisdom and patience are the main things in restoring personal and social characteristics of our loved one (VC).
*Step 4*
we have made a list of 10 values of ourselves which can play vital role in supporting our loved one (VC) in Recovery Process.
*Step 5* .
we affirm and confirm our best qualities to support our loved one(VC).
*Step 6*
we are always ready to show our committment and devotion for the betterment of our loved one(VC).
*Step 7*
As family members ,we have strong bonding and togetherness which can provide positive support to our loved one (VC).
*Step 8* .
We Consider our negative mental states( as hamen beings) as road blocks in the path of Recovery of our loved one (VC).
*Step 9*
We have made a list of our negative mental states and tried to overcome.
*Step 10* .
We stand firm with our supportive strengths when (VC) faces struggles in Pursuance of Recovery.
*Step 11*
We are vigilant and well aware of our non supportive thoughts and emotions and are getting professional help to overcome these Thoughts and Emotions (TEs) .
*Step12* .
We are in Good contact with God and praying for success of VC and ourselves for continuity and maintenance of Journey to Happiness.
