Subjective networks are one of the central subjects of Community Treatment. This two-part brief presents some data on the structural characteristics of personal networks in order to have some benchmarks for describing the characteristics of subjective networks. The second part presents data from an exploratory study on the structural characteristics of subjective networks. The study has been conducted in countries in Asia, Latin America and Europe.

ISSUP National Chapters Meeting in Latin America during the 6th Freemind International Congress

The 6th Freemind International Congress provided its participants with much information of important and relevant content, based on scientific evidence. There were 40 national speakers and 10 international speakers, 20 hours of international training, 30 hours of lectures, 25 hours of thematic panels and 12 hours of playful activities.

In addition, the Freemind Congress hosted important meetings, such as the Latin American National Chapters Meeting. This meeting was led by the National Chapter of Brazil at ISSUP, through its General Coordinator - Paulo Martelli.

The 6th Freemind International Congress, organized by the Freemind Mobilization and ISSUP Brazil, was held in the city of Águas de Lindóia / SP, Brazil from December 4th to 7th, 2019.

The event was held at Hotel Majestic, which has one of the most complete and versatile event centers in the state of São Paulo, less than 160 kilometers from the capital. There are several lounges with different characteristics and capacities and support rooms distributed in four integrated segments, offering spaces that can comfortably accommodate up to 2,000 people.

A total of 35 participants took part in this training that was organized by WHO and UNODC together with PAHO, SEDRONAR, Hospital der Mar, and the generous support from the U.S. State Department Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) on 11-13 November 2019, in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) held a training for high-level participants to address the nature, prevention and treatment of drug use disorders from 22-24 October 2019, in Brasilia, Brazil. As pesquisas brasileiras revelam que há uma precocidade na idade do primeiro uso de álcool e outras drogas, o que acaba gerando os riscos do uso nocivo e de consequentes danos à saúde de crianças e adolescentes.

Um estudo epidemiológico nacional publicado recentemente sobre a prevalência de consumo de drogas entre estudantes de 10 a 19 anos em 27 capitais brasileiras apresentou que 60,5% dos estudantes haviam consumido bebidas alcoólicas na vida, 25,5% haviam consumido alguma droga ilícita e 16,9%, tabaco.
