A great initiative to prepare the FORCE to fight the continuously growing ratio of every age individual into SUDs especially among youngsters which has developed serious concerns in Academia, Clinicians, Parents, Organisations and community as it has a huge cost.

For treatment to be effective, family and environmental forces have great impact to the wellbeing of the patient. SUD Professionals must take into consideration that the contributions of the family and care givers are very paramount to the recovery of the patient.

Intensive treatment needs to be rendered first to parents!!!

Noxolo Phongolo - 9 December 2023

Treatment  needs to be rendered first to parents, we can not expect  children to be sober minded  whilst the parents are under influence of substances. The emotional state or well- being of children is broken, they have used substances as a coping mechanism due of family circumstances or dysfunctional  families.

Hope

Sithandazile MSIMANGA - 6 September 2023

Greetings colleagues, I am about to embark on self study on the UTC curriculum. I am in Botswana, the drug use and abuse here is out of hand. I need to work with others form different regions of the world to learn from them and share insights about the situation in Botswana and possible strategies to curb the drug problem.

It would also be nice to have buddies that we converge and discuss the course together. I am looking forward to hearing from you and working together on this course and beyond. Stay well and keep smiling.
