METHODS: We conducted a non-systematic online review of marketing campaigns and a search of media content. The research sample used in the analysis of...

The global data indicates that the age of starting tobacco usage is decreasing rapidly. This not only has been causing many serious health consequences but is also increasing a lot of social issues. On the other hand, early use shows a high risk of leading to the use of other substances such as heroin in adulthood. Therefore, prevention and early intervention in this population are very crucial. In order to contribute to promoting the youth tobacco use prevention program in the near future in Vietnam, VHATTC organizes an online session on "Preventing Tobacco Use Among Youth: Evidence-Based Interventions".

During the past decade, heated aerosolized nicotine delivery systems (HANDS) —mainly e-cigarettes—have surpassed nicotine replacement therapy as the most utilized aids for stopping smoking in England.

It is therefore important to explore how the number of people using different device types and nicotine concentrations is changing, alongside a regulatory environment that may incentivize or discourage use of certain products. This study examined trends in the use of different products including:

  • e-cigarette device types,
  • heated tobacco products (HTPs)
  • and e-liquid nicotine concentrations.

Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) was developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) to assist nations in reducing the demand and supply of tobacco. In 2020, 182 nations joined the FCTC, approving to implement the recommended tobacco control measures.

Given the unique political, cultural, and religious context – and known tobacco industry efforts to influence tobacco use- in these nations, a careful examination...
