The University of Houston Tillman J Fertitta Family College of Medicine (UHCOM) announces a post-doctoral research fellowship in the Department of Behavioral and Social Sciences. The position is available beginning September 1, 2025 or after to work with James H. Bray, PhD in his Family Health Laboratory and other BSS faculty. The FH Lab investigates family and developmental factors that influence adult, child and adolescent adjustment, behavioral problems, alcohol and substance abuse, and health. In addition, the lab develops and evaluates prevention and intervention methods that promote healthy behaviors and ameliorate problem behaviors and substance use in family and school settings. The lab is currently using AI to develop apps for evaluation and intervention for substance use problems in collaboration with computer scientists.

Post doc is expected to work full-time for one year, with possible extension to two years. Post doc will help Dr. Bray manage his laboratory, conduct new studies, conduct analyses of existing databases and help prepare grant applications for future funding. Post doc will help with laboratory development, organization and training. Post doc will also help supervise students and other trainees.

Post doc needs to have advanced data analytic skills including structural equation modeling, growth curve modeling, and longitudinal data analyses (using MPlus) and be interested in applying those to existing data sets. Existing datasets include the following: Development Issues in Stepfamilies Research Project, Adolescent Alcohol and Substance Use Research Project, Pregnant and Post-partum women in recovery, Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) Project.

Possesses, understands, and applies a comprehensive knowledge in area of specialization. Develops understanding and skills to allow for completion of assignments that cross fields of specialization. Develops leadership and management skills.

This AKT Associate role presents an exceptional opportunity for the successful candidate to take on a deeply rewarding position while leading a project of real importance. You will be employed by Lancaster University and the project will be delivered by working collaboratively with the team at Change Grow Live. You will be based remotely with regular virtual meetings with both the academic and CGL supervisors, and will travel to visit CGL at Liverpool weekly throughout the project. At the end of the project, you’ll meet with the team to deliver a dissemination event, sharing key outcomes and insights with relevant stakeholders.

We’re looking for an excellent communicator, confident in cross-sector environments and can tailor their approach to suit a wide range of stakeholders. The Department of Family & Consumer Studies (FCS) at the University of Utah seeks a master’s or Ph.D.-level professional to join our department as a full-time, 9-month, career-line teaching faculty member at the rank of Lecturer (for candidates with a master’s degree) or Assistant Professor (Lecturer) for candidates with a PhD. This position will address critical instructional and programmatic needs in Human Development & Family Studies, with emphases in Early Childhood Education (ECE) and Child Health Care. In addition, the faculty member will serve as Child Life Program Director, providing leadership for the Child Health Care emphasis and developing programmatic opportunities in Child Life education.


The faculty member will have an 80% teaching and 20% service appointment in the FCS. Responsibilities include:


1. Teaching undergraduate courses in Human Development and Family Studies, with opportunities to contribute to Child Life/Child Health Care, Early Childhood Education, and Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health;

2. Supporting pathways in teacher licensure (K–3) and applied learning that connect students to careers in child healthcare, child development, and related fields;

3. Representing FCS on university-wide committees related to childhood development, health, and education;

4. Providing leadership and oversight for the Child Life Program, including curriculum development, program assessment and building professional pathways for post-baccalaureate students by leveraging the department’s successful track record with professional education programs.

Responsibilities of the Assistant or Associate Professor of Child Clinical Psychology include maintaining a strong record of publications in top outlets. A Ph.D. in clinical Psychology and clinical internship are required with license eligibility in Pennsylvania by the appointment date for both ranks.

Areas of specialization within child clinical psychology are open, but not limited to, candidates whose research would synergize with our current expertise in community and school-based prevention, childhood adversity and maltreatment, cognitive-neuropsychological bases of attention and behavior, stress and coping, emotion regulation, and developmental psychopathology.  Two priority areas are: (1) mental health needs of and interventions for children, adolescents, including, but not limited to, families of color and other marginalized populations, and (2) mechanism-driven research in developmental psychopathology to elucidate pathways to risk and resilience. The Penn State clinical psychology doctoral program is a clinical science program, accredited by both PCSAS and APA. Research Coordinator - Institute for Mental Health Policy Research

The Ontario Tobacco Research Unit (OTRU) was established in 1993 as the research and evaluation component of the Ontario Tobacco Strategy. Over three decades, OTRU has become a key player in the tobacco control community in Canada and internationally. OTRU is located within the Institute of Mental Health Policy Research (IMHPR) at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). IMHPR has an outstanding tradition of combining scientific rigour and practical relevance.

OTRU is seeking a full-time, contract (12 months) Research Coordinator to work collaboratively as part of a team of researchers to develop and implement evaluation research involving both quantitative and qualitative data. This position will primarily support two research projects within IMHPR. One project involves triangulating evidence on the execution and effects of multiple interventions to treat youth suffering from addiction to e-cigarettes, mobile devices, online gambling, and other substances. The second project involves conducting population level intervention research contributing to new knowledge in the field of youth substance use prevention, with a specific focus on learning from promising interventions.
