Building Knowledge and Networks: ISSUP National Chapters in Asia

Since the post-COVID period, ISSUP National Chapters in Asia have been hosting annual in-person events that attract not only local participants but also a large number of international delegates. These gatherings have become invaluable spaces for education and networking. Through workshops, trainings, and shared discussions, participants gain insights into the latest curricula in the substance use field, stay informed about emerging drug trends in the region, and exchange experiences from their own countries.

• ISSUP Malaysia: International Recovery Symposium — September 18–23, 2023, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia
• ISSUP Philippines: 3rd National Conference — October 15–18, 2024, Quezon City, Philippines
• ISSUP Indonesia: Regional Conference — September 15–19, 2025, Kuta, Indonesia

This year, our community extends a special thank you to #ISSUP Indonesia for hosting the 2025 Asia Regional Conference. The event brought together 550 participants from 50 countries, creating an inspiring platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and raising awareness about ISSUP’s growing role in the region.
