Dr. Rachmat Koesnadi is a Indonesian public servant with over three decades of experience in the field of social welfare and disaster response. Born in Bandung on March 24, 1968, he currently serves as the Director of Social Rehabilitation for Disaster and Emergency Victims at the Directorate General of Social Rehabilitation, Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia—a role he has held since 2023.
Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Koesnadi has held various leadership positions, including Director of Family Social Security, Director of Social Protection for Natural Disaster Victims, and Director of Social Rehabilitation for Persons with Disabilities. His expertise spans emergency response, family welfare, disability services, and social protection systems.
He holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Universitas Padjadjaran (2025), a Master’s degree in Social Welfare from Universitas Indonesia (2001), and a Bachelor's degree from the Social Welfare Institute (STKS) in Bandung.
Dr. Koesnadi is also an active researcher, recently publishing a Scopus-indexed article on financial practices among social assistance beneficiaries.
